What is? PRT File Format and How to Open it?
Developed by Pro/ENGINEER Creo Elements/Pro and Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire, a Pro/ENGINEER Part file—also called a.PRT file—is a 3D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) model. Part of a 3D CAD toolkit used for engineering and product design, these two applications comprise a three-dimensional model, maybe comprising surfaces, lines, curves, points, and a variety of other objects from a wide spectrum. Product design, engineering analysis, and prototyping among other uses benefit from PRT files.
P/ENGINEER Opening and editing PRT files is both possible with Creo Elements/Pro and the Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire applications. Furthermore able to support the viewing of these files are several computer-aided design (CAD) products including Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks as well as the free 3D viewing program eDrawings. Still, when seen in these programs, any and all editing ability will be forever lost. Furthermore available for the conversion of PRT files into other CAD formats are several CAD conversion applications including BRL-CAD and FreeCAD.
