What is R01 Format and How Can We Open on the Desktop?
backups are created using the R01 file structure. It is generated when a backup consists of several split-off portions. Being a part of a multi-volume file archive indicates that it cannot be accessed on its own alone. The first part of the backup is denoted by the file extension R01; the next sections of the backup are denoted by the extensions R02, R03, and so on. Among those using the R01 file format are several backup tools including WinZip and WinRAR.
The R01 file may be opened with several archive tools including WinZip, WinRAR, and 7-Zip as well as other programs. The user must first find the file on their computer, then right-click on it, choosing the “Open With” option from the context menu that shows. They will next choose the program they wish to open the file using from. Once the file has been opened, the user may get the files from the archive and apply them to whatever seems fitting.
